    The Friend of Earth Sustainable Textiles Standard (FOEST) provides a comprehensive framework to promote sustainability, transparency, and accountability in textile production. Developed under the governance of the World Sustainability Organization (WSO) – Friend of Earth, the standard applies to textiles containing a minimum of 5% certified sustainable fibers and covers the entire supply chain, from raw material sourcing to finished products.

    FOEST integrates environmental, social, chemical, and quality requirements, ensuring that certified products meet recognized international benchmarks. The standard emphasizes responsible sourcing of sustainable fibers, strict chain of custody controls, risk-based chemical and residue testing, and compliance with labor and environmental laws.
